- National Capital: Delhi (NCT) is the only UT with its own High Court (until recently; J&K also has one now).
- Legislature: Only 3 UTs (Delhi, Puducherry, and Jammu & Kashmir) have their own Legislative Assemblies.
- Administration: UTs are governed directly by the Central Government through an Administrator or Lieutenant Governor.
