CTET EVS: Teeth, Trees, Abu Dhabi & Bihu
This part of our NCERT series covers biological adaptations in animals, the diverse flora of the world, and inspiring Indian personalities in the defense forces.
🦷 Animal Adaptations: Teeth
Different animals have teeth structures adapted to their specific diets:
- Cow: Has short front teeth for snipping grass; side teeth are large and flat for chewing.
- Cat: Has sharp teeth optimized for tearing and cutting meat.
- Snake: Has curved, sharp teeth but never chews its prey. It always swallows food whole.

2. Desert Oak (रेगिस्तानी ओक)

- Its roots go very deep into the ground until they reach water.
- This water is stored in the tree trunk. Local people use a thin pipe to drink this water during droughts.
