✍️ Exercise 1: Transformation Basics

Instructions: Change the following sentences from Active Voice to Passive Voice.

  1. Students give a farewell party to teachers.
  2. Does he break the door?
  3. The teacher called the parents.
  4. Peter will climb the mountains.
  5. Has Rahul crashed his friend's car?
  6. Alexa will have created the painting.
  7. Sanjeev is flying a kite.
  8. Someone loves his brother.
  9. Did they eat the cake?
  10. The police will have arrested the kidnapper.

✅ Solution 1

  • 1. A farewell party is given to teachers by students.
  • 2. Is the door broken by him?
  • 3. The parents were called by the teacher.
  • 4. The mountains will be climbed by Peter.
  • 5. Has his friend's car been crashed by Rahul?
  • 6. The painting will have been created by Alexa.
  • 7. A kite is being flown by Sanjeev.
  • 8. His brother is loved by someone.
  • 9. Was the cake eaten by them?
  • 10. The kidnapper will have been arrested by the police.

✍️ Exercise 2: Mixed Tenses & Challenges

Instructions: Change the following sentences from Active Voice to Passive Voice.

  1. Had he dropped you?
  2. Had Shankar attended the party yesterday?
  3. Did India win the ODI series against Sri Lanka?
  4. Does she visit the National Park?
  5. Mr. Raj will visit the Golden Temple on Monday.
  6. Rahul had addressed the meeting of board members.
  7. The students were digging the soil in the school playground.
  8. Miss Rita was teaching English in class 7th.
  9. The manager called the meeting.
  10. The shopkeeper is selling cakes on the street.

✅ Solution 2

  • 1. Had you been dropped by him?
  • 2. Had the party been attended by Shankar yesterday?
  • 3. Was the ODI series against Sri Lanka won by India?
  • 4. Is the National Park visited by her?
  • 5. The Golden Temple will be visited by Mr. Raj on Monday.
  • 6. The meeting of board members had been addressed by Rahul.
  • 7. The soil in the school playground was being dug by the students.
  • 8. English was being taught in class 7th by Miss Rita.
  • 9. The meeting was called by the manager.
  • 10. Cakes are being sold on the street by the shopkeeper.

ℹ️ Note

The Golden Rule: To convert into Passive Voice, always use:Form of "to be" + Past Participle (V3).Example: is eaten, was seen, will be done.
