In the above sentence, The noun boy refers to male. It is of the Masculine Gender. The noun girl refers to a female. It is of the Feminine Gender. The noun Pen and table refers to lifeless things. These are of the Neuter Gender. The noun child can be used for both a male child and a female child. It is of the Common Gender.
